Back to School and the TechAB-Cs
One of the best parts of supporting Alberta’s tech sector, is the opportunity we have to engage with Alberta’s Post-Secondaries – professors, students, and champions!
Whether it is at University of Alberta, University of Calgary, University of Lethbridge, Red Deer Polytech, NAIT, SAIT, Bow Valley, MacEwan, Mount Royal, Medicine Hat College, Lakeland, Olds, and everywhere in between – we hear the same thing from Alberta’s students:
– “We would love to hear more about the exciting Tech Companies that are here in Alberta.”
So that is what Technology Alberta does – through our e-newsletters, Linked-in posts, Instagram, events across the province, FIRST Jobs Program, ASTech Awards, posters, shirts, and more.. we are spreading the word, and raising the visibility of the thousands of Cool tech companies that are right here in Alberta. The students want to know about them, so that they can find jobs here in Alberta’s thriving tech sector.
Want to work for a Gaming company? No problem – so many!
How about Medical Device companies? Absolutely!
Nano, Robotics, AI/ML, AR/VR? You bet!
On that note we are happy to share the Technology Alberta’s Tech Companies Directory and have another round of the “TechAB-C’s”. There are over 55 companies in “A” alone:
- Edmonton – Applied Quantum Materials designs, develops and manufactures silicon, carbon and germanium nanomaterials
- Calgary – Ayrton Energy‘s hydrogen storage technology presents a large, scalable, and efficient way to transport hydrogen over long distances
So spread the word to all the students and professors you know – on the great tech companies here in Alberta, and help us all keep great talent here!
