City investment fund grants up to $1M to global accelerator for Calgary-based Canadian HQ

A global organization that acts as an accelerator for companies that are scaling will establish its Canadian headquarters in Calgary.

New York-based Endeavor — which has a presence in 40 markets around the globe — announced Tuesday the launch of Endeavor Canada, with a head office in downtown Calgary. The city-owned Opportunity Calgary Investment Fund, as well as Western Economic Diversification Canada, will contribute up to $1 million each to support the firm’s Canadian expansion.
