Working towards making Canada a leader in AgTech commercialization, join an online panel discussion the evening of April 16 that will highlight the opportunity for farmers, ranchers, and other agribusiness practitioners to leverage their domain knowledge, generate wealth, and diversify their capital exposure through investment in early stage Canadian AgTech.
The panel will be moderated by James Chepyha, Executive in Residence with Foresight Canada.
Anthony Bellot, Director Agribusiness & Agri-Food for ATB Financial will provide an overview of the opportunities available in agriculture, and the AgTech necessary to realize it.
Chris Paterson, Venture Partner with Tall Grass Ventures will provide his perspective as principal of an AgTech focused investment fund.
Kendra Donnelly, Chief Financial Officer at Rimrock Cattle Company Ltd., including Rimrock Cattle Company, Blackshirt Feeders and Echo Sand Ranching. In this role, she oversees accounting, finance, human resources and the strategic direction of the business. Kendra and her husband, Bryan, have also seized the opportunity to partner with her family in many other businesses including three feed yards that finish up to 70,000 head annually. They also work continuously on other exciting new opportunities including the addition of bio-digester next to Rimrock feedlot.
