It is starting to look like May has alot in store for Alberta’s Scale-ups – SME Tech Companies that are looking to grow

– Growth Catalyst is an Alberta-wide business accelerator with a twist; it’s for scale-ups not start-ups. Participating companies come from technology (hardware, software, AI, and manufacturing) but many are services businesses looking to grow and expand. Next cohort is Edmonton based and begins May 18th, so sign-up now! Funded by TD Bank, Alberta Innovates, and PrairiesCan.

– Technology Alberta FIRST Jobs Program: SCALE-UP: Deadline for the next cohort is May 3 – so don’t miss this opportunity to take on a new-graduate or current student for a 500-hour work placement. Provincial and Federal Funding provided at the level of $7,500 – and the application form just takes 15 minutes.

Alberta’s Tech SME’s are both interesting to work for, and also to learn about. A sample of tech companies under “E” (for the TechAB-C’s) include
–  Energera, Edmonton: Innovative enertech solutions to solve some of the biggest problems in the energy industry
– Exempt Edge, Calgary: Software solutions specifically for Exempt Market Dealers, Mortgage Investment Entities and Issuers raising capital in this space.

Looking forward to seeing you in May – at the many tech events across Alberta,
