Really looking forward to Technology Alberta being in the CARIN (Central Alberta Regional Innovation Network) tent next week, on our Alberta summer tour – destination: Olds for AgSmart (thanks for the invite, Lorna!) AgSmart is held August 1 and 2, and is produced by Olds College, and never fails to impress. I’m looking forward to the multi-streams of technical sessions, learning about the latest innovations in agriculture, and being on a panel session on the last day. Come by, say hi – and you may be able to take some “I Heart Alberta Tech“ back home with you.
AgTech is transforming Alberta’s agricultural sector with innovations such as autonomous farming, drones, data visualization, and more. These advancements are creating new opportunities for global growth – and this is why innovation in the Agriculture sector is an important part of the ASTech Awards. Do you know of any innovative tech companies in Agriculture or other markets? Be sure to nominate them prior to August 15 – so that they have a chance of being recognized at this year’s Academy-Awards of Alberta Innovation, the 34th Annual ASTech Awards.
Thanks everyone, for doing your part in supporting Alberta’s tech entrepreneurs – and see you soon,
– Gail and the Technology Alberta Team
