At About Alberta Tech, the goal is to introduce Albertans to Alberta Tech companies. Why did they start? Where did they start? What are they growing towards? And most importantly, how are they positively impacting Alberta, and helping our province diversify.

The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta

Created on April 10, 1920, APEGA regulates the practices of engineering and geoscience in Alberta on behalf of the Government of Alberta through the Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act. We are the largest association of self-regulated professionals in Western Canada. Our members work in diverse industries, contributing significantly to Alberta’s economic success and enhancing the quality of life Albertans enjoy.

Alberta Women Entrepreneurs

AWE is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enabling women to build successful businesses. AWE provides unique programs and services to women at all stages of business through advising, financing, mentoring, and network development.

Alberta Women’s Science Network

AWSN’s primary focus is to connect, unite, support and promote STEM programs throughout the province. As a network, AWSN creates a collaborative environment where member groups and volunteers help each other, learning from each others’ experiences, successes and challenges. Along with our long-term volunteers, we have been fortunate this year to gain many new creative minds, who are lending their time and expertise across the board and our various committees.

CWN connects Canadian female founders with women leaders globally. Our expansive network provides opportunities for female leaders anywhere in the world to connect and do business with Canada.

Clean Resource Innovation Network

CRIN is a pan-Canadian network focused on ensuring Canada’s energy resources can be sustainably developed and integrated into the global energy supply. By identifying industry challenges, we create a market pull to accelerate commercialization and wide spread clean technology adoption by bringing together industries, entrepreneurs, investors, academia, governments and many others.

Cybera is Alberta’s not-for-profit organization, responsible for driving economic growth through the use of digital technology. Our core role is to oversee the development and operations of Alberta’s cyberinfrastructure – the advanced system of networks and computers that keep government, educators, not-for-profits, and entrepreneurs at the forefront of technological change.
