Our Vision

Fostering a thriving Alberta tech sector by building community, uniting and empowering innovators for sustainable growth.

Our Values
What Does Technology Alberta Do?

Focused on the three pillars of Knowledge, Talent, and Community – Technology Alberta exists to build intentional connections between people and organizations whose coordinated and collaborative efforts help advance Alberta’s entrepreneurial technology companies, nationally and internationally.

We help Alberta Technology entrepreneurs access the larger Alberta technology ecosystem so they can accelerate their speed to market.

Technology Companies

We accomplish this by providing businesses with opportunities in:

  • Talent: Attract and Retain the talent they need.
  • Community: Make new connections through networking events and membership.
  • Knowledge: Access mentorship and training supports.

Job Seekers

We help technology job seekers connect with Alberta employers to uncover opportunities related to their skillsets and interests. We accomplish this by providing opportunities to connect with Alberta tech companies through networking opportunities, postings, and programs.

Government & Industry

We partner with government and industry by engaging with the Alberta Tech community of entrepreneurial companies, post-secondaries, and service providers – to provide current information to inform program and policy development that would support and promote a thriving Alberta technology sector.

Educational Institutions

We help educational institutions connect with industry by providing opportunities to:

  • Identify, advise, and showcase facilities and expertise of value to technology businesses.
  • Partner with businesses to provide student engagement opportunities.

When students participate in Work-Integrated-Learning Opportunities, they become more employable upon graduation and are more likely to stay in Alberta.
