Project Coordinator – Grants, Research & Reporting

Technology Alberta is in search of a Project Coordinator:

  • A dedicated professional, with a successful track-record in proposal-writing (grants), research, and reporting.
  • Who can translate their understanding of the mission, vision, values and capabilities of the organization into documents and professional communications
  • who can communicate in a concise and compelling manner – that conveys the value and impact that Technology Alberta (together with our partners) can deliver, to the grant opportunity and in achieving the respective ministry’s objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Technology Alberta leadership, staff, volunteers, and partners on project/program concepts
  • Review and assess grant opportunities for organizational fit
  • Draft, write, submit for timely internal review, and develop material to be submitted for government grants and funding on behalf of Technology Alberta
  • Implements edits and feedback to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Research potential funding opportunities for the organization
  • Understand strategies including: partner selection; funding leveraging; support material selection
  • Display and organize information in a professional, visually compelling manner that represents Technology Alberta’s brand

Requirements:

  • Proven ability in writing clear, concise, timely, and professional proposals
  • Demonstrated experience in writing successful proposals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience with word processing technologies (including: Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Adobe)
  • Experience with publishing software is an asset (including: Microsoft Publisher, Adobe InDesign)
  • Knowledge of Alberta’s technology industry and ecosystem is an asset

Communications and Social Media Specialist

The Communications Associate will play a key role in building, engaging, and maintaining Technology Alberta’s audience – as well as communicating events and program information.

Responsibilities

  • Write compelling and timely content for Social Media (Linked-in, Mail-chimp) and Website (WordPress)
  • Develop Marketing/Communications Campaigns to increase event/program participation
  • Contact and work with multiple audiences (Industry, Government, Academia, Entrepreneurs)
  • Develop written content for news within Technology Alberta for our weekly newsletter
  • Ensure key information is included for timely topics within the organization (For example, our Jobs Programs or Community Events)
  • Opportunity to write larger bodies of work – including Articles and Reports

Requirements 

  • Strong written communicator with an understanding of tone and voice used for professional audiences
  • Understanding of writing for social media and web content
  • Knowledge of CRM (Mailchimp, Hubspot) and/or CMS (WordPress) is an asset

Proposal Writer – Grant Proposals

An integral part of the organization, the Proposal Writer will be a dedicated professional who will work to understand the mission and vision of Technology Alberta and incorporate the message into proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, write, and develop material to be submitted for government grants and funding on behalf of Technology Alberta
  • Implements edits and feedback to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Research potential funding opportunities for the organization
  • Display and organize information in a visually compelling manner that represents Technology Alberta’s brand

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in writing that is clear, concise, and professional
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience with word processing documents (Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Adobe)
  • Experience with publishing software is an asset (Microsoft Publisher, Adobe InDesign)
  • Knowledge of Alberta’s technology industry and ecosystem is an asset
